Made for a hand, by a machine.
Project Description
A titanium tension setting was modelled in SolidWorks and machined using a multi-axis CNC machining centre to produce a two ring set that nests together when worn on the finger. The design also allows for either of the rings to be worn separately if so desired.
The material choice was important for the tension setting, and the challenge came the sourcing a Canadian jewelry manufacturer with the right level of experience in machining Ti-6Al-4V.
