The design and development of the second generation 3D scanner table built by Streamline Automation. Working in collaboration with CNC motion experts, I was responsible for the R&D along with design, 3D modeling, prototype development and part sourcing.
While working at Streamline Automation, an opportunity arose to update one of the machines in the company’s product lineup, with the design and development of the second generation FROGScan Table, a CNC driven 3D scanning system built to be implemented world wide.
Working in collaboration with CNC motion experts, I was responsible for the R&D along with the design and 3D modelling, prototyping, part and supplier sourcing as well as initial testing.
This project expanded my knowledge of mechanical design along with incorporating some human factors elements in how the operator would use the table on a daily basis.
